EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - After getting feed back from the community, GAGE has decided to keep a few of the popular events, as well as introduce new ones to the schedule.
The Freedom Festival will take place only on Sunday July 4.
Launching April 23, the new Dancing in the Streets dance party starts, as well as the popular cruise-ins.
As part of the dance party, two dance themed movies will play outside.
The popular loft tours return in August and the Jazz, Wine, and Arts Festival makes a comeback in October.
"Even those things that are popular need to be changed up," GAGE spokesperson Pam Martin said. "So we're adding things for every member of the family, every demographic, every age group."
Another new event, Battle for Downtown, a competition for local bands and musicians in September.
In 2009, the Freedom Festival finished $290,000 in the red.
