EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - An Evansville man is arrested after police say he tried to cash fraudulent checks.
It happened at the Washington Avenue branch of Fifth Third Bank Monday afternoon.
Bank employees called police to report that Joshua Norman was attempting to cash $2500 in checks that were obviously fraudulent, an affidavit stated.
The employees went on to explain that Norman was acting suspicious in the bushes outside the bank and that they had went as far as to lock him out of the building.
According to the police affidavit, police found Norman walking next to the bank.
Police say when they searched Norman they found two pills, a Percocet and an Adderall.
Norman was arrested and charged with fraud and drug possession.
He was taken to the Vanderburgh County jail.
